My Strategy
I have two main parts to my investment plan.
First, I choose a few really good stocks that I believe can deliver 10x returns over the next 10 years. The plan is to I buy and hold these stocks for at least 10 years. This is also know as “Coffee Can Investing”:
In 1960, a fund manager named Robert Kirby had a client whose spouse followed his advice and purchased shares worth $5,000 each but never sold them. After the husband’s death, they found that he had accumulated significant wealth, with his investments totaling over $800,000, mainly due to his investments in Xerox.
Kirby was impressed by this “buy and forget” approach and coined the term “Coffee Can Investing” in 1984. The term originated from a historical practice in America where people stored their valuable items in coffee cans. These cans were then hidden beneath the mattress and stayed there for many years until the need for the valuables arose.
The second part of my plan is to use the margin provided by my long-term stocks to generate income in the short-term. I do this by using options strategies like Naked Puts and Covered Calls. I focus on special situations (i.e. when companies merge), and mean reversion trades (i.e. betting that prices will revert back to towards the mean).

My name is Manny. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I love trading stocks, especially options. Every day I’m watching the markets and the stocks in my watchlist like a hawk.
Over the years, I have made and lost a lot of money. I learned a few valuable lessons during my journey. One of them is that trading can be pretty lonely sometimes, but it’s way more fun when you’re doing it with other people!
